For once in our life time
justice must prevailed .No matter at what caused. We must do
what is right.
12/10/2006
Not a single individual named
should escape the ECOWAS audit.
12/10/2006
They should be stripped of all
assets in order for the State to recover the value of the amount
stolen!
12/10/2006
The government must also look
into the Buchanan Iron Ore and other unfinished audits by
ECOWAS.
12/10/2006
thank u for everything u done
12/10/2006
I believe all of those involve in
embezzling funds from the government and its people should be
arrested and they should replenish every dime stolen.
12/11/2006
This is a great move on the part
of the administration. My prayers is that when this is over,
Liberians will respect the rule of law and the people's money.
12/11/2006
I feel that everyone include in
the Ecowas report should face the law
12/11/2006
by gone be by gone
12/11/2006
ELLEN SHOULD HAD ARRESTED PEOPLE
FROM TAYLOR'S GOVERNMENT ALSO WHY ONLY NTGL?
12/12/2006
Everyone of them should go to
jail if found guilty. Their property should be ceased
12/12/2006
ALL OF THEM SHOULD GO TO JAIL AND
SERVICE HARD TIMES IF GUILTY
12/12/2006
Hi, We must prove to the World
that we are prepare to move the country forward and make every
effort to depart from those vices that kept up back as people
and nation, this country must a country of Law not men. People
must understand the law is an instrument to is intended to keep
everybody in check which begins with those in public places,
makes everybody equal. We therefore want to congratulate the
Government for a fresh start and the bravery to hold people
accountable. Nothing is wrong with holding someone accountable
that you entrusted your aspiration and future that took
advantage of us and misused the trust and office. The must not
only prosecute people but when found guilty, there should be
restitution, properties must be confiscated, bank accounts must
be frozen and people must made to understand each man is
responsible for his her own behavior under the legal system.
12/12/2006
IT has been long overdue, the
culture of impunity have hit a road block. Bravo iron lady.
12/12/2006
Let all of them accused face the
drums.
12/13/2006
It is both "a great first step
and long over due" as well as "arrests should be across the
board".
12/13/2006
All former officials should be
audited, including all interim leaders during the civil war.
Also president Sirleaf should summit to this audit as she is
indeed part of this criminal deal in Liberia.
12/13/2006
Impunity in its totality must end
in Liberia!
12/14/2006
It is a great step to move the
Country forward after NTGL fail to do that.
12/14/2006
I strongly agree with the stance
that the government is taking. There is no rush to judgment nor
arrest but, is carefully building its case. I see this process
as a step in the right direction which will allow the arm of
justice to prevail .When a case is carefully assemble taking
every thing into consideration, It will be difficult for the
plaintiff to fail. Who is Varney Sherman by the way. He is not a
criminal lawyer and not really a factor. I am quit sure that the
Government has qualify lawyers and judges that can effectively
incorporate their brilliant legal minds and convict that crook
and thief Bryant and his likes. Thanks to President Ellen J.
Sirleaf for her leadership and may the good Lord wash over her
and protect her against all harm so that one day we as Liberians
can return home and live a normal life.
12/15/2006
this is very good in order to
eliminate future misconduct of our leader and Africa as a whole.
African leaders are taking so much pride in corruption
especially in this small country like Liberia.
12/15/2006
people must pay the pride for
their doing. let us not see it as picking and choosing.
12/15/2006
Most of Liberia's past leadership
lacked vision and because of that major shortcoming all of our
institution building have been centered around individuals in
power. When these individuals leave power or expired, they
carried along with them the institutions. Corruption has
developed to the level where it has become a HALLMARK in the
Liberian society. The former Chinese leader once said" The
journey of a thousand mile begins with the first step". Bringing
these Unpatriotic Liberians to justice is long, long past
overdue.
12/15/2006
There has to be a beginning for
everything. If this has never occurred in the past, now, Liberia
must initiate an example. Karleh Wehye, Philadelphia
12/16/2006
Absolutely, this is a fine
precedent, and I hope that it will profoundly help to deter
undesirable behaviors in our society, as we strive to regain our
respectable image internationally.
12/16/2006
Not only that they should arrest
across the board, they should be sent to prison for as long as
up to ten/more years, or be made to pay whatever amount they
stole along with the interest that the amount stolen by each
person would have accrued over the years for gross abuse to our
nation and its people.
12/16/2006
We have to start somewhere in
order to continue the fight against corruption. Example has to
set so the new and future officials of out country to know that
enough is enough and they must govern in the interest of their
people and the country. Our people must have and should have the
necessary things that life has to offer: Light, water,
education, health care, etc. No one person should take all the
monies and the rest of the folks suffers in the hands of a few.
We have the resources in our country and if managed well, these
things should be available for the people to live. "Share the
wealth that we have"
12/16/2006
I decline to make a comment
because my first comment was not published. I will only vote.
12/16/2006
This is very good for the country
after all she has gone through for the past 15 or more years.
These leaders should know that they are not above the law. It's
a shame that in their little mind, I literally mean little mind,
they have done nothing wrong. I hope they are made to give the
country some of her money back. Please ask the question to them,
how they felt driving through that the city that looks a big pig
pen and millions of dollars was given to the country and no one
can account for it but yet they feel good living like Kings and
Queens. What goes around comes around.
12/16/2006
An example should be made
according to the rule of law of these rogues who decided to rob
the country of the support given to a trouble country and its
people. Please take everything the acquired during the Bryant
era. Thank you,
12/16/2006
Actually, this is a great start.
But if the Sirleaf government wants to have equal and effective
justice, the arrest order needs to also be extended to Mr.
Bryant and W. Johnson, former Chairman and Vive Chairman of
Liberia. Counselor Frederick A. B. Jayweh
12/18/2006
People working in government
should understand that it is a privilege to have an opportunity
to work in government. As such, accountabilities should be at
the forefront of whatever they do. Because of such opportunity,
they also need to understand that their work will be scrutinized
at all times. Public office means openness to the people they
serve comments. People having the opportunity to work need to
grow up and apply what they learned by putting it to practice.
Corruption does not pay.
12/18/2006
If pieces of evidence are
available, let the prosecute those mentioned in the report. Let
set an example for once in the life our country.
12/18/2006
In order to set an effective
deterrent, the arrest should have been across the board but that
is yet to be obtained.
12/18/2006
Government does not have the
expertise (Trained Police investigators & Prosecuting Attys.) to
prosecute these former individuals.
12/18/2006
The Ellen's govt''s must show to
the rest of the world that it mean business. People in Liberia
must realize that the wealth of the country is for the building
of the country, where everyone will benefit, not just few people
massively getting rich, while the majority remain poor. All must
support, the bed one makes there he must lie.
12/18/2006
The new Liberian leadership
should not relent in cleaning out the mess created by greedy
politicians. Why should these people steal money to enrich
themselves when the majority are suffering. Justice must be
served at all times.
12/18/2006
I hope the President and her team
are keeping their eyes on Mr. Greaves and LPRC. The last time he
made a mistake by attempting to bribe Human Right Advocates when
they pressed him against the wall for the oil deal. The
President backed him fully and called his action "a mistake on
his part". When she dismissed Dr. Barr and Mathis, she justified
their dismissal by telling the Liberian people that their
actions were not in line with her administration's policy. I
hope her administration will prosecute all those that were
mentioned in the ECOWAS audit without mistake. There should be
no mistake in this case madam President!
12/19/2006
Corruption is a disease in
Liberian people blood. It take a strong medicine to cure it. It
kill the mind faster than Aids. Example: Edwin Snow used the
money he stole from the Taylor Government to corrupt the mind of
the corrupt Representatives to support him. What he says is
always the final. His days are number. Let the arrest be across
the board including the high school drop-out, Edwin Snow.
12/19/2006
We need a fresh start in Liberia.
You cannot be selective in arresting certain individuals while
others who committed similar acts go unpunished. In order to be
fair, Ellen would have to arrest every body who stole money from
the country, and that would be impossible. If Ellen wants to set
precedent, then she will have to begin cleaning up the mess in
her own back yard before arresting others. For example, she will
have to arrest people like Dr. Amos Sawyer who stole lots of
money than those individuals that are now being arrested. And
What is even more appalling to me is that Ellen is gradually
falling prey to the promises she made, during her campaign.
Prior to the election, Ellen was asked if she would arrest
people who stole monies from the country, and Ellen responded by
saying "No, I won't go after people who stole because it would
be impossible to bring everyone to Justice, but during my
administration, if anyone engages in such behavior, that person
will be prosecuted. So, my response is Don't even try it!" Those
were the exact words of Ellen at a fund raising ceremony, which
she attended in Atlanta Georgia, during her campaign. While it
is true that I congratulate her move to curb corruption, I
certainly don't believe that the arrest made two weeks ago is in
the best interest of peace and reconciliation. This move by the
government will only serve to divide us instead of uniting us as
a country. At this juncture, we do not need to continue pointing
hands as was the case in the past. So, I just want to say that
yesterday's mistake is today's lesson. We must challenge
ourselves to learn what was unlearned in the past, and I will
finalize my comment on one important note- We saw what happened
in 1980, 1990, and 2003. If this is not enough, then my remark
to Ellen is, continue wagging the band.
12/20/2006
It's high time that we do
something about stopping the culture of impunity. It's
unfortunate that it has to be people we know or related to but
it has to start with someone.
12/20/2006
A promising step in the right
direction. Hope the other "big fishes" are netted as well.
12/20/2006
MANY FORMER OFFICIALS ARE
BECOMING AFRAID, SOME OF WHOM ARE MAKING FLIMSY STATEMENTS.
12/20/2006
No one person is above the Law.
Thanks. YJ
12/20/2006
THE "LIBERIAN WAY" OF SOLVING
ISSUES MUST DIE, NO MORE TO LIVE. WE MUST START FROM SOMEWHERE,
AND WITH SOMEONE IN ORDER TO PREVENT FUTURE OCCURRENCE. THE
NECESSARY MECHANISM MUST BE PUT IN PLACE. ABOVE ALL THE RESPECT
FOR THE RULE OF LAW, AND INDIVIDUAL RIGHT MUST BE UPHELD. AND
LET THE LAW TAKE ITS COURSE.
12/20/2006
The arrest is long overdue.
However, it is better now than never. Stand firm Madam
President. Do not be deterred. You have majority of the Liberian
people by your side. This is day long been awaited. Remember
your election promises made to the Liberian people to take on
corruption and fulfill just that. One advise Madam President, do
not be selective in this process and create suspicion of "Witch
Hunting". Let everyone including Gyude Bryant, Wesley Johnson
Edwin Snowe, Benenoi Urey, and others that grossly abused public
trust to corrupt the system and enrich themselves pay the full
price for their actions. Remember when you first decided to
turnover Ex President Taylor to the International Criminal Court
for prosecution, there wert a lot of conspirators who tried to
challenge you resolve and intimidate the public. You stood firm
and went ahead as it was the right thing to do. This is another
test of your firmness and I can assure you Madam President that
Liberians and the International community stands with you.
Liberians here in America and supporters of your administration
will do everything so that you succeed in your works. Emmanuel
O. Davies<emmandavies13@yahoo.com
12/04/2006
There are the Harry A. Greaves,
Amos Sawyers, Ellen Johnson-Sirleafs, Boima Fahnbullehs, Harry
Yuans that should also be brought to book. This is a shame for
the democracy we all craved for.
12/04/2006
The government of Liberia has
effected the arrest of some former NTGL officials. The
government case, according online news outlets, against these
individuals is for "economic sabotage". Friends, sympathizers
and even former NTGL officials have come up with varying
explanations for the government action. What I am concern about
is the due process, through our legal system. Whatever labeling
of the government actions is prejudicial before the case has
even been tested in our court system. This only shows a gross
disregard, a former interim President and a sitting Senator, for
our legal system. Whatever interest or assistance can be
rendered by these individuals to unravel the government case
should be presented through the courts. Trying the case in the
court of popular opinion will not help! To the government, I
hope you have ALL your facts in order. This is a test of your
sincerity. If the Liberian government has sufficient evidence to
have the former government officials indicted and convicted for
the charge of economic crime against the Liberian people, I say
they should pursue the case. If otherwise, I pray that the
government rethink its actions and set these individuals free. I
don't care what the court of "popular opinion" thinks, these
guys are innocent until proven guilty. To all those who think
the government over-stepped the constitution, I pray that they
give out fledging legal system a chance. Instead of trying the
case in the media, they should instead collect all evidence to
debunk the government's case. It is surprising that a honorable
Senator and a former interim President will threaten the
stability of the state by the utterances when they should be
testing the legal system. There is a saying in Washington DC,
that most times it is not the crime that get politician in
trouble, but rather the attempt to cover-up. Mr. Bryant, Devine,
Konneh and others, your utterances are at best suspicious and
worst incriminating. If you cannot legally help these
individuals, then just shut up and for a change trust our
courts. We have to break this circle of either, corruption or
governments accusing its citizens falsely. The ECOWAS report is
not sufficient
12/04/2006
It is great start to stem the
tide of corruption. For too long people have gone free from
stealing from the people. You do not hear anybody complaining
but those who have something to fear. Thank God this audit was
done by ECOWAS thus no one would complain that it was not fairly
done. Bryant your day is coming you go before a court of law and
defend yourself. No amount of noise making g would stop that. I
can only admonish the government not to abuse the rights of
anybody. The people are behind you on this one, so be careful
and stick to the law.

My whole heart jumped for joy
within me; corruption has no place in the new Liberia. It must
be eradicated, even if it was committed in the past or now.
Thanks.
12/05/2006
We as Liberian should support the
government and let the TRUE be told. Something must be done to
those who commented these crimes.
12/05/2006
The is no time ever timely then
now. I think the president is on course with her campaign
promises to fight corruption. let her go ahead because as the
Liberian saying go, if you mind the noise in the market you will
not buy your fish.
12/05/2006
We have to start somewhere. The
time is now. For the sake of Peace, and a sustainable future we
must not hide anything under the carpet which we all know will
resurface negatively . Hats off to the Government, leave no
stone unturned, too many lives have been lost, do not relent,
God's speed!
12/05/2006
Ellen needs to be arrested for
treason for having sought the destruction of Monrovia/Executive
Mansion during the Civil crisis of 1990. Under the laws of
Liberia, there is statute of limitation on treasonable acts. All
of them (former war bosses) hands are tinted. Once you
encouraged innocents children to bear arms, you have so
compensate you and them to ease the tension. That's is why the
stealing is so rampant. Where did LURD and others got ars to
enter Guinea and disposed of Taylor. Let us not fool ourselves,
without ECOMOG, we would have all been dead. Let our mothers and
grandmothers have their last days in Peace. Do you think, the
former fighters can not regroup and challenge the present peace
keepers when the signal is given? What make you think that they
do not know that the money stolen and given them was the booty
of the war. Those who stole had to do it to survive their
skins/harassment from the people their promise to take arms.
Even you Ellen are forever in debt to GABRIEL DOE. We were alive
and know the story of your escape that is why Mr. Jackson of
Immigration in Bassa had to commit suicide. Where is the system
that is in place when the government came? Where is the pension
plan for Tipoteh, Baccus, Dr.Dahn, Amos Sawyer, Ambs. Kofa, Bull
and al from the Liberian government? There is not system in
place on anyone retirement. That is one of the reasons
government officials are easily compromised. We have educated
people in government but those same people are not credible.
Strengthen Social Security by bringing in the Dutch as partners
in the management. See if the joint partnership will not bring
calm to officials of government. Once the employee of government
knows that his/her retirement is firm, that person will be to a
greater level be honest. Pay your employees well and computerize
the system. Know who is your citizen early enough. Further, The
government of Liberia borrowed all the funds and failed to pay
back form the Central Bank. Also, check on bringing liquidity in
the banking system. Pay NHSB, BOL, BCCI, TRADEVCO, FAUB
depositors, then you talking business. People believe in the
government by putting their hard raining day money in the banks.
After all, you Ellen, having financed the war with Taylor is
acting with clean hands. Please your hands are not and you want
to get even. Bottom line, the government should have provided
for the ex-soldiers from all the factions. Ironically, these
providers of guns and ammunition have their children and
grandchildren in America attending schools. Ellen visits her
sons and grandchildren always in Charlotte, North Carolina. Even
Amos Sawyer can not clear himself for buying the house in
Maryland. The people of Liberia has lost respect for those
calling the people to be arrested under the pretense of seeking
help from abroad. Remember, Doe and Tolbert did all they could
and when time came NO help was given. We Liberians must look
within. Go to the ECOWAS countries for help be it Nigeria fine
with me. First, try to lift the ban on exports, as the economy
is strangulated. Second, put emphasis on privatization of all
public corporations. Establish deposit insurance for the Liberia
government to help in bank under distress. Government should
regulate and not run businesses. Do not go far, just look at
Ivory Coast next door. They have water, light, road and energy,
all privatized on a sectorial basis. According to the IMF,
government needs to builds roads, hospitals, schools and dams.
By so doing, you are on the role to recovery. And, Ellen should
stop the un-necessary traveling. The Legislature should keep you
in check instead of giving you a blank check to continuously
travel. We as auditors know you are stealing legally. Ellen you
must act PRESIDENTIAL. Finally, and in close doors you should
have discuss the audit report with each of the accused instead
of "disgracing" your co-conspirators in he destruction of
Liberia. Your mandate to rule stops and ends with you. You are
acting too Foreign to be an African. Discuss the report under
the palava hut in Bomi.
12/05/2006
I applaud the efforts of the new
Government.
12/05/2006
I think it's about time that
those who rob the nation should account to the people; if the
court finds them ''innocent'' so be it. until then, they should
remain in detention.
12/05/2006
The arrests posse a great
challenge to the judicial system in the of a UN report that it
is weak, ineffective, inefficient and prone to bribery. This is
compounded by the fact that the Ministry of Justice lacks the
caliber of qualified and competent lawyers to ensure a
successful prosecution of a case of this magnitude. The NASSCORP
case was a classic example of the weaknesses and unreliability
of the criminal justice system in Liberia.
12/05/2006
If any of the accused is left
undone, it will mean that the government is witch-hunting its
perceived enemies. Well done Madame President. Isaac D. Warner,
Sr. Saskatoon, Sask. Canada
12/06/2006
A new day for Liberia. Glad some
of us lived to see it. Continue the good work.
12/06/2006
These arrests are necessary to
stop the corruption and the laziness of our officials. They
should learn to work hard to get their needs
12/06/2006
Arrests like the above is
procedural. Though it is long overdue, culprits should not be
allowed to "eat and go", now people will stop thinking that I
can become a Minister just to eat govt money
12/06/2006
I think the arrest is a great
step for accountability in government, but one thing everyone of
us as Liberian need to understand is that what is done to Paul
should also be done to John, by that I mean the arrest should be
across the board. Even members of the present government of Mrs.
Sirleafs, should also be arrested for their involvement in
corruption. Where did Amos Sawyers got money from to buy a
mansion in the State of Maryland? Did Ellen Johnson Sirleafs,
report all of traveling allowances that was left over to the
government? Remember Kofi Woods did likewise he reported the
remaining balance of this traveling allowances to the ministry
of finance. If President Sirleafs, wants to establish
accountability in Liberia which is a good idea, then off cause
it should begin with her. She is stealing the Liberian people
money intelligently.
12/06/2006
It is a shame in the lowest
degree ever, that white leaders bring pressure on African
leaders before they (African leaders) seek justice for their
people, systems and countries. With reference to the current
arrests and pending prosecution of those who stole money and
enriched themselves over the blood and abject plights of the
Liberian people is, indeed and in truth, the sine qua non to
lift the country and the people up again; as well as restoring
confidence in the economy for investors. It, therefore, goes
without saying that the suggestions that the current
Government's action in bringing to justice those criminals who
brought untold sufferings on the people is witch-hunting and
that prosecution be traded with a new or fresh start are
absolutely NONSENSE! Perhaps, those who are suggesting such
foolish backward step for the worse are themselves have
something in their sleeves. To say the least, their action is
intended to intimidate the Government and dissuade it from good
governance.
12/06/2006
It is very necessary that the GOL
continue the arrest exercise of criminals within our society.
These are the people who leached terrors and sufferings on the
poor Liberian masses. I also hope that Mdm. Sirleaf will go back
to the period of IGNU too. There are renounced characters who
continued to trek on old image appointed to high offices of
public trust. thanks, agkmar24@yahoo.com
12/06/2006
Arrest should be made broad to
avoid the effect of targeting
12/06/2006
I hope that this kind of audit
will touch all facets on national government bureaus and
agencies if we are to build a society based on accountability
and transparency.
12/06/2006
It serves as an accountability
for the people of Liberia. There must be respect and fair play
in the investigation.
12/06/2006
If this process is seen through
to its logical conclusion by the courts, it will send a clear
message to all those serving now. In a year's time, the govt
should begin to demand transparency and accountability from
NGOs/civil society groups too and do investigative audits as
well.
12/06/2006
Accountability should be of
paramount importance to this government so as to instill honesty
and integrity in public service.
12/06/2006
We've heard enough. Its time to
put words into action.
12/07/2006
Da ma time to chop culture By
Eagle’s Eyes-SSS Since the beginning of time, the generational
curse of corruption in the Liberian government has been and is a
flaming endemic in the political and economical culture. The
phrase “da ma time to chop” puts a bright smile on some former
government officials faces. “Those were the best days”, they
say, and can argue shamelessly from dusk until dawn to
substantiate their claims of being the champions for the people.
Sadly, the limited financial resources that should be used for
developmental purposes have been and currently being saved in
foreign banks by determined career criminals who prefer to carry
their secret to the grave. A culture of total impunity with no
sign of deterrence was the rule of the day. If one was not
willing to break bread with them, he or she was considered
stupid and treated as a traitor. Hence, in the absence of
integrity, it became cool to become a gang member. In their
time, they were the untouchables. They were above-the-law.
Sadly, this practice is totally against the spirit and letter of
the law regarding how government should function. Regrettably,
this current legal arm of justice is not long enough to grab by
the pants other well known criminal-minded officials who also
stole government revenue and include some unrepentant mass
murderers in the process, while dragging them before the whip of
justice. However, if possible, everyone previously involved in
stealing government money and those listed in the ECOWAS audit
should be brought before the judgment seat to exonerate
themselves or pay the inevitable price for wickedly partaking in
the starving and depriving the nation of much needed financial
resources. Importantly, the Liberian story should not be like
the “Animal farm” story. Childhood friendships, beer bar
memberships or partisan politics should not exonerate anyone
from the black-eye punches of justice. Strangely, in Liberia,
where thievery is the way to help oneself in government, there
is a god-like admiration, by their dancing cheerleaders, for
criminals who had gleefully stolen from the government cookie
jar. Importantly, to bring about development, we have to draw
the line of demarcation against corruption at some point, to be
able to move the country forward. In addition, what is currently
transpiring is the beginning of what was dry-fasted-for by the
common poor and a praise-worthy effort that is long past due.
Evidently, this deterrence will hopefully curb the destructive
practice of dipping one’s hands deep into our national coffers
and performing the magician-style money disappearing act.
Importantly, the persecution of convicted criminals in any
society should be seen as the way forward or else, we should
immediately apologize to and release every criminal in our
prisons in the “interest of peace”, from those who committed
petty theft to mass murderers. However, this process should be
transparent and also seen as a way to save our country from
members of the “pot-bellied criminal gang” sitting behind
government desks in air-conditioned public offices, defying
justice, and thinking, “where should I steal next”, who should
rather be inhaling the stench in condensed prison cells after
being convicted and are being prosecuted. Although a
one-eye-brainless critic might disagree, Liberian civil servants
should rather learn to engage in legitimate businesses and not
see stealing government money as their last hope of
survival……..If one has committed no crime, why must one fear the
law…..It is written that the truth shall set you free…..Relax…..
12/07/2006
It's time for Us as Liberians to
catch up with the rest of the world and do as we say. The days
for talk and no action are long gone. This will send a message
to those in the current government and others to follow. We can
no longer tolerate the climate of corruption that has permeated
our country for so long. Remember "In union strong, success is
SURE"
12/07/2006
let them turn in all item they
stole.
12/07/2006
I am John Kollie a Liberian
journalist, I really think that's a great move but should target
all involved.
12/07/2006
Everyone who was name in the
audit report should be investigated including the so call
members of congress.
12/07/2006
No nation will survive if the
leaders are working for self interest and not that of the nation
and it's people. So, let the chips fall where it may and let the
miss guarded leaders pay the price.

The Liberian people support the
weeding of corrupt elements in our country. Ellen shouldn''t be
afraid but must be honest in dealing everyone even if her step
son is involved. Those who took bribes from Mittal Steel must
also be brought to justice.
12/07/2006
Arrest Mr. Bryant as well! This
will go a long way in letting Liberians know that you can not
just walk away with the people taxes with out impunity.
12/07/2006
This will serve as a deterrent
for all would-be corrupt government officials who think they can
steal government funds that is intended for the good of
everybody and get away with impunity.

Those rascals must face the law
for their thievery and should a jury play fool this time they
too must be jailed.

Let Justice Be Done To All Men!
12/08/2006
The arrest of former National
Transitional Government officials is in the best interest of our
country. As you can see today the world is so small that no man
is above the law. I will like to support the Sirleaf led
administration for this endeavor. Long live Liberia the glorious
land of liberty.

It is time that we as Liberians
are taken serious for our promise. Ellen is setting a great
example and must be maintained across the board. Let her leave
no stone unturned when it comes to corruption. Do we ever sit
and ask ourselves why we Africans are so damn poor when we are
reached with resources? The old way we did business did not
work, maybe it is time to try a new style. Ellen will for ever
be remembered for setting the books straight and making sure the
evil doers pay the price for their evil deeds. Go ahead girl and
keep on kicking ass!!!!
12/09/2006
let it be known that the present
persecution of corrupt officials was an endorsement made by the
Bryant administration implying that they were free of corrupt
practices as was being lamented by the UN and other
international bodies. This process must not be confused with
what may have happen yesteryears and has no evidence at this
time for persecution.

It is sad that many of those
placed in positions of trust; to manage the Liberian people's
money and affairs, become amnesic. This selective memory loss
should not be an excuse to pillage public funds. After all, the
war has ended, and anyone choosing to behave with callosity must
realize that impunity no longer has a place in Liberia. I hate
to believe that most officials of the Liberian government past
and present, were educated abroad. What standards or ethical
values did they learn?
12/09/2006
It is a step in the right
direction. It tells us that Mrs. Sirleaf is serious in stamping
out corruption It is a new beginning in our country that we all
need to be proud of.

Hi fellows, I am hereby pledging
my greatest support for the mention employed by the government
in dealing with all of the identified formal officials for
stealing from dying and hungry Liberians. They are amoral and
anti-social progress. To depict judicial transparency, all names
listed in the Audit report should be arrested and persecuted in
accordance with the constitution of Liberia, and if any is found
guilty, that individual should receive maximum punity as a
formula to minimizing corrupt acts and promoting trust. It's

Liberia shouldn''t always be like
putting old wine in new bottle as others see each government
that take over.
12/09/2006
I believe that Ellen should be
very consistent about what she told the Liberian people. these
group of people need to be arrested.

First obtain the evidence,
Prepare well and go through the legal process---expeditiously

This is action is long overdue
and from now the thugs will know that it is a different ball
game. Let justice take its course. Thanks to the people and it
is in their interest. Hang these crooks so we can have a better
Liberia.
12/09/2006
The need to express our concerns
as Liberians so as to make these past officials clearly under
stand that we recognize their commitment and time is necessary,
and I believe there is not one Liberian who does not recognize
every accomplishment of the Bryant led administration. Liberians
are not supporters of any perpetrator of economic crimes and
will no way keep silent when they think and see that they had
been offended by leaders because it is due to infamous behavior
that once led to their sufferings and intimidation. Sorrow!
12/09/2006
Arrest should be made,
indictments should be served and let them prove their innocence
like anybody else. In America, you are arrested, fingerprinted,
photographed and allowed to post a bond while waiting for trial.
That is the law and these criminals should not be treated any
differently.
