Mr. Redd said preliminary medical reports from Nigeria say that Chideryou died from stones in his bladder; however, an official medical report will be brought by his wife when she returns home shortly.
The Press Director said when the sickness first developed quite surprisingly, the late lawmaker sought medical attention at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center where his sickness was diagnosed and a recommendation was made that he seek medical attention abroad. He was later taken to the Firestone Medical Center where he stayed for two weeks prior to leaving for Lagos, Nigeria last Friday.
The late Chideryou contested the October 2005 legislative elections as an independent candidate.
Prior to his election to the National Legislature, he served as founder and Principal of the Duazon Public School, Secretary and later Commissioner of the Mamba Kabai District, Margibi County and earlier, Administrator of Duazon Township. Chideryou also served as Superintendent of Margibi County.
